Ideal for couples or families, there are a wealth of wonderful walks for guests to enjoy from the cottage front door. Dogs are welcome., Just a short walk from the cottage is the lime stone pavement of Fellend clouds and the ancient Murthwaite woods, where you may see red squirrels, deer or buzzards soaring overhead. Kirkby Stephen railway station is a mile and a half outside of town and is on the famous Carlisle Settle Railway - what better way to take in the spectacular scenery than by a journey on a steam train! Slightly further afield but still within easy reach for a day trip out are the many attractions, magnificent mountains and fells of the Lakes, as well as the stunning beauty of the Yorkshire Dales offering never ending opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts
