This piece was hand crafted in India, Gujarat (where these style cradles originate from for centuries) as a gift to my new born back in 2014. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing and solid, it has helped my daughter sleep beautifully whilst giving her much needed relief from colic symptoms naturally. The cradle is in perfect condition with all bolts and pieces as it has been packed away after my daughter turned 2. Suitable for newborns to approx 1.5 years of age. The cradle comes with 3 cotton hammocks (pink, blue and white). Two of them come with a complete zip around mosquito net which acts as an extra safety guard especially if using outside in the garden. The typical swing framework of triangle legs either side with single rod connecting makes it a very sturdy swing. The wood is called ‘Valsadi Sag’ a hard wood belonging to the family of Teak, Mahogany, Walnut and Oak. It is one of the hardest, strongest and most durable of all natural woods. Steel replicas are available online if you look - this is an original, individual hand crafted piece with quality fittings and hammocks. With just 1 user it’s almost as new and rare to find in the UK.
