Back in the day the GPz500S was considered an excellent stepping-stone on your journey through the sizes to quicker machines. It gave out a very respectable 60BHP and, while not as stable and forgiving as a Honda Super Cub, had very decent handling. Now, 20+ years on, the bike has more than proven its worth and is still capable of providing plenty of enjoyment., Ours is an original model in blue which has been well maintained. It's been serviced recently with carbs cleaned, new plugs, coolant changed, coolant fan changed, tappet clearances done and a new tyre at the back. Brakes were stripped and oil and filter done. Exhaust removed and new clamps and headers on. Chain and sprockets and fork seals also quite new. Not concourse by any means but reasonably tidy and it runs well.
