Victorian Late 19th Century Period Piece, Antqiue Mahogany Veneered & Red Leather Top, Knee Hole Pedestal Desk,, 9 Drawer, Home Office Desk on Casters with Key,, circa 1880's., ** Dimensions: 47" W x 27" D x 29.25" H **, We are delighted to offer this fabulous Victorian period office desk. Lovely country house library, study or home office piece. Wonderful amber gold Mahogany veneer on a pine wood frame with & superb age related patination gained over many years. Lots of antique charm & in gorgeous as found condition. Three drawers in the top section over double three drawer pedestals with original turned bun handles. Red leather top with pie crust top edge moulding. All drawers remain solid & run freely, key works only in top central drawer lock. Desk comes apart into three sections for easy transport & is mounted on new casters for height moveability. This antique desk comes direct from a recent estate sale & is sold in superb as found condition. Presents very well indeed & has a fantastic country house feel. Lots & lots of lovely dinks & surface knocks & desk remains in good solid usable condition. Please study the pictures for more details. It's been properly cleaned inside & out, surface refinished & so is now ready to use, love & enjoy once more. It's style & design is typical of it's Victorian period & one brass lock is stamped ' V crown R ' so would help us date this desk nicely to circa 1880's. Some surface dinks & very minor edge lift to the leather top in places.
